Life It's a little stuffy: but here's my Bio from work that gives you a brief snapshot of what I've been up to. Wow -- and I haven't updated this forever. Dr. Joseph M. Nicholson III is the SVP & National Medical Director supporting the business development and contracting team for Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Before coming to CTCA, Dr. Nicholson was the VP of Healthcare Management and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma. Prior to taking on the role as CMO, he served several years as the Utilization Management Medical Director at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma. Nicholson graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Oklahoma State University. He completed his internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver and shortly therafter was appointed as Chief of Emergency Medicine at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital. Dr. Nicholson later served as Chief Resident at Oklahoma University College of Medicine-Tulsa. After that Dr. Nicholson began a private practice career that spanned a decade prior to entering administrative medicine.
